A Little Bit of Everything
Isabella is being such a good mother-hen to Max. She even helps me change his diaper!! She tries to help me bathe him, but I really try to do that job when she is not around because it is really hard to get her to stop dumping water on his head as she is "helping"!!
Isabella is growing up so fast. I finally realized exactly HOW big she was when we had Max .... let me rephrase that, when I had Max .... there was no WE involoved in pushing him out!!! :) Although Isabella can be quiet the whiny girl, she can be the sweetest thing. She has even picked up some things that Tyler always does by coming to me and asking me if I am happy or if I love her. I think my most favorite thing is her name for me - Mom-Mom. Not Mommy or Mom, but Mom-Mom. No idea where she got that from, but I love it!
When it came time to take down her Christmas tree in her room, we were both heart broken. So we found a new use for it:A Valentine's Tree!!!
Max is now 7 weeks old, going on 8 weeks on Thursday. He is now smiling, although you still have to work at it to get him to! We are just loving him to death and still feel so blessed to have him. Here are some shots of his nursery since some people have been asking for that! The artwork was done by my friend Jen. We copied some pictures we saw in Pottery Barn that were WAY over priced (surprise, surprise!!). The curtains were my creation, as were the pillows and Max's name. The crib bedding I designed (I couldn't find anything I really like at the stores) but my mother-in-law is actually the person who sewed it all for me. The monkey under the radio was from Build-A-Bear where the kids kissed hearts to put inside the monkey and wished for his safe arrival! This nursery was really put together with the help of many loving hands!
When I went for my 6 week post-partum check-up, I was asked to come back in the afternoon for an ultrasound. No, I'm not pregnant again! When I had the ultra-sound, it confirmed what my Dr. was thinking - there was still some placenta left behind. The Dr. was amazed it was not infected by that point. So the next morning I was brought in for a D & C!! This was on Friday Jan. 30th. Things went well and I am fine now, I was just more scared than anything. I go back for a follow up on Friday Feb 20th. Other than that, things are good here.
