Tyler has amazing faith. He is always asking about God, praying to God, and saying how God has helped him through various situations.
Swim lessons have been a big source of stress around here the past 2 months. Tyler hates swim lessons and is terrified of going. So we have been reading Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." So when it came for his time in the pool last week, he began to cry and all jazz. I started whispering in his ear Isaiah 41:10 and trying to get him to rely on God. He looks at me with tears and his eyes and says he wants us to pray before his lesson. I said a prayer in his ear and he went on to swim lessons more brave than he had before. (I also need to add he did AMAZINGLY well and tried things he had never done in the past! ) The only thing is that he wasn't blowing bubbles out his nose. He informed me he did not need to because God was taking care of that for him!
Back in May, our church had service at the Gwinnett Braves Stadium (the minor league team for the Atlanta Braves) and all 5 of us attended. A few days later while driving in the car, Tyler had a very puzzled look on his face and the conversation went like this:
Tyler: "Mom?"
Me: "Yes, baby..."
Tyler: "Jesus died on the cross, right?"
Me: "Yes, he did."
Tyler VERY confused: "So ... Jesus died at the ball park?"
He keeps me on my toes! :)
(Oh, and then Isabella chimes in "Who is God?" AAAAGGGHHH! Guess we have some work to do there!)
